RED ROCKS PARK AND AMPHITHEATRE

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, situated at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and located just 20 miles from Denver is a geological wonder. Made of sandstone, the rock formations in the park were formed through 200+ million years of geological activity. The best known feature of this park is the world famous natural amphitheater created out of the rock formations.

In Addition to the amphitheater, the park is home to several large sandstone rock formations each unique and beautiful in their own way.

Many of the images featured in the gallery were taken during the time of day known to photographers as golden hour, bringing unique lighting, tonality and coloration to the images that is not able to be captured at other times of the day.
