GOLDEN GATE CANYON STATE PARK

One of the 42 state parks in the State of Colorado, Golden Gate state park provides a serene mountain getaway just 30 miles from downtown Denver. Protecting and Conserving more than 12,000 acres of land the park provides numerous outdoor recreational opportunities within an hours drive of the Denver area. The parks includes almost 35 miles of hiking and multi trails with trailheads easily accessible by car throughout the park. Additionally there are a number of different camping options depending on your preferred camping style. The various elevations found within the park ranging from as low a 7,600 ft and reaching to over 10,000 feet in elevation there are several different ecological regions found within the park providing a range of flora and fawna to enjoy. From groves of aspen at lower elevations to loge pole pine and Douglas fir as you reach the higher elevations.

The park provides georgous views of the Continental Divide as well as numerous 14’ers including Mt. Evans and Pikes Peak from the boardwalk area at Panorama Point
